Todd Bumgarner is the pastor and church planter of 2 Pillars Church. He grew up about an hour outside of Lincoln in a small town called Geneva. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he graduated in 2002 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. This was followed by six years in St. Louis where Todd worked as an Electronics Design Engineer at the Boeing Company while also earning a masters degree in Electrical Engineering (M.S.) from Washington University. It was during this time that Todd surrendered his life to Christ (2002) and slowly began to hear and heed God’s call to plant a church in Lincoln while serving in lay leadership roles at Mid Rivers Christian Church in St. Peters, Missouri. In the fall of 2008, Todd and his lovely wife Meghan submitted themselves to the assessment of the Acts 29 Church Planting Network, by which they received conditional approval to proceed with launching an Acts 29 church in the heart of Lincoln.

Presently, Todd is working full-time at Boeing, pursuing a M.A. in Theological Studies at Covenant Theological Seminary, and serving as a Church Planting Intern at Summit Community Church in O’Fallon, Missouri (a western suburb of St. Louis). Todd, Meghan, and their two girls (Iris and Lydia) currently reside in O’Fallon and will be relocating to Lincoln at the end of 2009.
